I’ve always had very strange conflicting thought about arrange marriages. It has a lot to do with how you are supposed to commit to a person that your families have chosen for you. Someone you have not met a lot before or someone you have not had a chance to spend a lot of time with. But then, you know how, you come across a story that changes your perspective about things? That kinda topples your old belief to open your eyes to a new beautiful thing in existence ? These two people did exactly that to me.

It takes me back to Emily bronte’s ‘wuthering heights’ and specifically that one very special line in the book, “whatever their souls are made of, his and hers are the same”. One would not need a second glance, to see and know, that they were born to be with each other. They’re like these two pieces of a jigsaw puzzle that just fit together. Seamless and perfect! I’ve been blessed enough to have been presented with various opportunities to travel to the different nooks and crannies of this beautiful country, to capture an array of stories and emotions in the form of an “event”. And believe me it’s rare to see an event that was not only put together in a very short span of time but also constituted so beautifully, with so many special elements that it’s execution was a treat to watch.

And as if a near perfect event planned by the family wasn’t enough, there Keval was, adding to the icing on the cake. He planned this beautiful surprise performance for his bride to be on Bruno Mars’s ‘you can count on me’ that she far and out hadn’t even thought about! He ended it with kneeling down on one knee with a ring in his hands. She was so immensely overwhelmed with the lovely gesture that there was no stopping those happy tears from flowing. It is exactly in moments like these that we realise how grateful and lucky we are to have found a person who’s willing to go that extra mile just to see a smile on our faces. And it is exactly in moments like these, that we, as photographers, find satisfaction in the work that we do.

Keval and Pooja, you guys are a match made in heaven and I hope in this beautiful journey together, your relationship is a haven for love, support, care and happiness. Wishing you a very happy engagement and do keep inspiring us with your “couple goals”!!!
